(Page contents are for informational purposes only, CONSULT A DENTIST FOR DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT.)

Dental implants; they are screws produced from titanium element to be compatible with the mouth and bone environment. In dentistry, these implants are used instead of tooth roots, placed inside the jaw bones and fixed or removable prosthetic teeth are made on them.

Thanks to the implant treatment, our mouth regains its chewing and aesthetic functions, we can eat and smile with the closest comfort to our natural teeth, the neighboring teeth are not damaged, the bone structure is preserved by surrounding the implant and attaching to the implant.

Implant treatment is applied to people who have completed the age of 18 and have completed their growth and development. After the dentist examination, the patient’s systemic health status (diabetes, heart disease, medications, etc.) is also evaluated, and in most cases the best treatment option is implant treatment. Health problems do not prevent implant treatment when necessary precautions are taken and appropriate conditions are provided.

Implant treatment stages:

The patient and the team are prepared in accordance with the sterilization rules.

The relevant area is anesthetized, the necessary incisions are made in the gingiva, and the vision and entrance area is opened in the area to be studied. The implant socket is opened in the jawbone and the implant is placed, the healing cap is attached. These caps can be left above or below the gums. Depending on the surgery performed after the procedure, the bone graft used and the procedures performed on the bone, recovery is expected between 3 and 6 months. During the healing process, a non-functional temporary prosthesis can be made for aesthetic purposes for eligible patients. After the healing process (Osteointegration) is completed, the gingiva is again anesthetized and healing caps are attached to shape the gums and the gums are shaped around this part seen in the mouth. Then, the necessary measurements are taken and prostheses on the implant are made.
