Clenching or grinding teeth causes pain in the joints and facial muscles, and wears on the teeth over time. Worn teeth can cause loss of vertical dimension on the face, aesthetic problems, pain in the jaw joint, exposure of the channels of the teeth, etc. can cause problems.

Night guard (night plaque): In order to prevent such undesirable situations, transparent plaques are made for patients who grind their teeth. These plaques are custom made and are worn at night. These plaques are called night plaque, they are made by taking a single jaw size from the patient, and they are adjusted according to the teeth. Regular use of the night plaque distributes the forces on the teeth and reduces the complaints. Along with the use of the night plaque, massaging the neck and face muscles also helps to reduce the complaints.

Masseter botox: Masseter botox is also an effective application used in the treatment of teeth clenching-grinding.

Masseter botox: Masseter muscle is the strong chewing muscles located on the sides of the jaws. When this muscle is used too much for reasons such as clenching, grinding, chewing gum, it grows and causes a square face appearance. Masseter botox is the process of injecting an agent produced from botulinum toxin into this muscle. The enlarged musculature becomes smaller and thus the lower part of the face, which turns into a square, gains a thinner and more aesthetic appearance. In addition, wear on the teeth due to clenching and grinding is prevented. The pain felt in the jaws and head and neck region also goes away. This process is effective for 4-8 months, after which it may need to be repeated. In general, after the third application, the treatment is completed as a result of the disappearance of the habit of clenching in the muscles that relax.
